Hommage à Franchomme – Resmusica.com

Ils se produisent depuis quelques années en concert, sont dans la même agence artistique Kajimoto, mais c’est la première fois que la violoncelliste Tatjana Vassiljeva et le pianiste Jean-Frédéric Neuburger enregistrent ensemble. Le prétexte des commémorations Chopin nous permet de re(découvrir) par la même occasion la Sonate de concert de son contemporain Alkan. Tous deux ont écrit essentiellement pour le piano, étaient des virtuoses de leur instrument, ont vécu à Paris, et ont dédié leur sonate pour violoncelle et piano à la même personne, Auguste-Joseph Franchomme (1808-1884), grand violoncelliste et figure musicale de son temps. C’est d’ailleurs avec lui qu’ils ont créé respectivement leur sonate, Chopin en 1847, Alkan dix ans plus tard.

In Budapest with Dvořak

Berlin Philarmonic Stringquintett in France

On May 7th, Tatjana will join again the Berlin Philarmonic Stringquintett, the first of a long series of concerts all around Europe.

La Folle Journée au Japon 2010 dedicated to Chopin

Being 2010 the Chopin’s year, the international festival LFJ dedicates to the great pianist and composer its Japan edition.

Tatjana, whose last recording includes the beautiful sonate for cello and piano, will be once again part of the festival with several performances.

Sie bilden ein harmonisches Duo, das an technischer Brillanz, klanglicher Balance und Sinnlichkeit im musikalischen Ausdruck kaum zu überbieten ist: die Cellistin Tatjana Vassiljeva und der Pianist Jean-Frederic Neuburger. Thanks to the Hong Kong Sinfonietta, the video of Tatjana’s concert played on August 30th 2009 is available in the video section as well as on You Tube.

An excerpt of the “Teshigawara-Vassiljeva” performance in Tokyo on May 2009 is also now available.
A special project for La folle journe au Japon featuring the faboulous japanese dancer Saburo Teshigawara improvising on the Bach Suites for Cello Solo, played by Tatjana Vassiljeva.

Solo in Lisbon

The Culturgest, an important landmark for cultural events in the beautiful city of Lisbon, will host Tatjana’s solo performance on  March the 20th.

The program includes suites and sonatas of Bach, Cassado, Dutilleux and Kodaly.

The great performance in Paris is online!

On January 7th Tatjana received an amazing ovation from the public of  Theatre des Champs-Elysées after her performance of Saint-Saëns Cello Concert, with the great Orchestre National de France leaded by an outstanding M° Daniele Gatti.

For the ones who had no chance to be in Paris for such an event, Radio France, who broadcasted the whole concert live in several european countries, uploaded it in its website.
